Wallace Cemetery

  • African American. Approx. 20 graves, earliest about 1888.
  • On FM 1452, 2 mi. W. of Madisonville. Located about two miles west of Madisonville on FM 1452 W, to the first deserted home past the Primitive Baptist Church and cemetery. This is a fenced cemetery behind the house to the south as you enter the front gate, following a dirt road about 1/4 mile into the woods. The cemetery is in a pasture belonging to Ernest Cannon about a mile past the church and cemetery.

Whitfield Lake Cemetery

  • Also known as Whitfield Cemetery
  • Located off State Highway 21 West, turn left on Strawther Lane. The cemetery is located behind a house and just before the Kickapoo Creek bridge. This is on private property, and the stones have been removed.
