5 miles west of Rachal on FM 755 and about a 1/2 mile south of the highway. Accessible only through private roads.

Villarreal was a daughter of Gregorio Villarreal, purchaser of the La  Encantada and Encino del Pozo land grants in 1872.  Ponciano’s father purchased one league of the La Encantada land grant from Gregorio Villarreal  in 1873, and Ponciano used lands he and his wife inherited plus additional lands he purchased to establish a ranch, which he called “Santa Rita” in honor of his wife.
